Join this session to hear how Hudson County Community College’s AI chatbot, “Libby”, is improving engagement for students of all backgrounds. With a focus on access for remote, evening/weekend, and Spanish-speaking students, Libby goes beyond normal office hours to support students where they are, when they need it.
Alongside Lisa Dougherty, HCCC’s Vice President for Student Affairs and Enrollment, we’ll hear HCCC’s journey as it started using Libby for Financial Aid and Admissions, but now has expanded to additional departments such as Advising, Hudson Helps/Mental Health, and Student Life. Come see how Libby is making a difference for everyone at HCCC.

AI Communications Benchmark Study
AI communications are becoming a “go to” across college campuses – both physical and virtual. This trend is driven both by students’ changing communication preferences and the need to expand service capacity with personalized, virtual advising after hours.
This inaugural study analyzed 9.7 million AI interactions since the beginning of 2020 and provides insight into the trends, topics, and student behaviors that are impacting departments across the country.
Insights from this study will enable institutions to develop the appropriate engagement and support strategies to increase student success.
